Hijab Fashion - An Evolution not a Revolution

Sneaking a glimpse or two on to the catwalks of fame where trade mark designers signed off their "hijab" or veil collections.

Dior launched their latest Abaya collection rocking side over heels... with a breath taking modernity giving birth to a whole new generation of Abaya's - bashful but elegant. Soon after, Dolce & Gabanna launch their memorable Hijab collection in U.K turning this into JUST an exquisite game with a whole new set of rules. Muslim veiled girls are no more off-catwalk trends - we don't need to puzzle-up a fashion anymore with a result that is neither stylish nor divine; we do not need to put a face that is not ours just to up with the trend!

It doesn't surprise me much, to see this shift in focus, the Islamic world is a rich consumption base and our new generations long for modernity; however, as we conquer the catwalks, the traditional Islamic "zay or abaya", sits on an edge; a very thin line separates between refinement and change and right on that line lies the essence - the decision of how we move forward.

So ladies out their, put on your veils look out for the trends that keep our core while refining the cortex; for it is after all, an evolution and not a revolution!
